VIM was established in 1991 under the aegis of BRACT, as an autonomous institute. It got affiliated to the UoP in the year 2001 and also received approval from AICTE, and recognition from the Government of Maharashtra. Today it is the flagship Institute of BRACT in the domain of management education. It offers post graduate management programmes affiliated to the UoP. It caters to the educational and career needs of students spread over the nation.
