At Vishwakarma Institute of Management (VIM) we work with a motto of “Act Well Your Part- AWYP”. Our vision and mission firmly believe in making future managers (YOJAKAS).  Finance, being the backbone of any industry is a need of the hour and its need and importance is felt at each walk of life irrespective of domain range. Over a period of time, finance has emerged as more and more mature and refined stream of knowledge not only for the people who want to make their career in finance but for non-finance professionals also. Right from the inception of an idea to start a business till the death of the organization finance has a role to play. With so many advanced intra disciplines of finance widely getting used, for a finance person, sky is the limit! Tapping this fact, the process of launching a finance forum has already begun at the Institute with a Naamkaran as “FUNFINCA” Bigul baj gaya hai!!!!!

In practical sense, it is a known fact that that there is a gap between theory and practice. We through FUNFINCA strive to bridge this gap by blending theory with practice. The true result can be arrived at by application of theoretical knowledge into practice, which is what we emphasized upon to our students. This distinguished approach can bring in creative and proactive in thought process so that  along with the glamour and zeal of the degrees the students carry, they will also carry in depth knowledge and sense of responsibility.

Objectives of FUNFINCA are as under: -

1. To bridge a gap between theory and practice in the context of finance

2. To make Practical Finance Managers rather than Theoretical Finance Managers

3. To make aware the students about the real demand of their degrees apart from the glamour of the degrees.

4.  To develop students in terms of abilities to understand, analyze and solve the different financial constraints and the related issues in practical world.

5. To encourage the students to understand value and importance of teamwork approach.

6. To bring out hidden talents among the students and to show their mettle to the world by way of their creative, analytical, innovative and speaking ability.

Activities proposed under the Forum are as under: -

• Activity on some hot topics relating to finance domain

• Organizing quiz and essays.

• Paper presentations on Finance related subjects.

• Case study – Debates and Agreements.

• Lecture by Expert from an industry.

• Seminar on Finance.
